Disabled Single Mother Needs Housing

Elik lives with two debilitating diseases and will lose access to housing on September 30. These funds will go directly to purchasing a tiny house for long-term stability.

Clergy Verification

This need has been verified by local Orthodox clergy.

How You Can Help

After a nearly fatal medical crisis two years ago, Elik, a single mother, found out she has Systemic Sclerosis and Polymyositis – two rare diseases that are debilitating and progressive.

She was put on disability and began the road of recovery and maintenance of these life-altering conditions. At this time, she is managing day-to-day well with the help of doctors, medication and much support from loved ones.

Making ends meet on disability as a single mother is challenging. Her current affordable housing situation is ending September 30 due to the sale of her landlord’s property. We have found a suitable and affordable location for a tiny house, and have a plan for purchasing and installing two small used cabins in which Elik and her daughter can safely live.

Our parishioners are able to help with the labor but we need help with the funding.
